We are seeking experienced Section Leaders to join our team. This is a full-time opportunity to take on a leadership position overseeing the day-to-day operations of key sections within our manufacturing environment. As a Section Leader you will be instrumental in ensuring that our teams maintain the highest standards of productivity, quality and safety whilst fostering a positive and engaging workplace culture. You will report to senior management and have a direct impact on the efficiency and performance of your section, contributing to the broader success of Byrne Trailers.

What you’ll be doing

Supervise and manage a team of manufacturing and production staff, providing clear direction, support and performance feedback

Monitor daily production schedules and ensure targets are met whilst maintaining quality standards and safety protocols

Conduct regular toolbox talks and safety briefings to ensure all team members understand and comply with workplace health and safety requirements

Identify training needs and support the professional development of team members through coaching and mentoring

Maintain accurate records of production, quality issues,



attendance and safety incidents, and report regularly to management

Liaise with other sections and departments to coordinate workflow and resolve any operational challenges

Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce waste and improve processes within the section

Ensure all equipment is well-maintained, report maintenance issues promptly and support preventative maintenance schedules

Lead by example, demonstrating a strong commitment to safety, quality and customer satisfaction

What we're looking for

Proven supervisory or team leader experience in a manufacturing or production environment, ideally within the transport, logistics or trailer manufacturing sector

Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety legislation, standards and best practices

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and engage diverse teams

Demonstrated ability to manage performance, conduct training and provide constructive feedback to team members

Sound understanding of production planning, quality control and continuous improvement methodologies

Problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure

A commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, quality and customer service
