Forklift Mechanic - Day Shift | Crestmead, Brisbane
This is a genuine temp-to-perm chance. You will start as a casual for the first few months, with the chance to convert to permanent for the right person.
Pay
Casual rate: $56.25 per hour ($45 base + 25% casual loading)
Day shift
The Role
Carry out preventative maintenance, servicing and breakdown repairs on forklifts
Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults
Complete routine inspections and maintain accurate service records
Troubleshoot issues and get machines back online quickly
Order parts and manage basic workshop stock as needed
Work safely and follow all site WHS procedures
Coordinate external repairs when required
Keep the workshop clean, organised and productive
About You
Qualified Mechanic (Light Vehicle, Heavy Vehicle, Plant or equivalent)
Robust mechanical aptitude with hydraulic and electrical fault-finding skills
Comfortable working independently and managing your own workload
Practical, solutions-focused approach
Current driver's licence
Willing to complete site inductions and follow safety rules
Prior forklift mechanic experience is ideal but not essential if you are mechanically switched on and keen to learn
Based onsite at the Crestmead depot, Brisbane
