Thinking in-house is the only way to get balance in construction law? This role might change your mind.
I'm working with a respected commercial firm with a national footprint, which is growing its Brisbane construction and infrastructure team. They're looking for a Lawyer or Associate who loves the contentious side of construction work.
About the role
The work is roughly 80% back-end and 20% front-end, including:
construction disputes, from security of payment claims through to complex litigation and arbitration
variations, delay and defect claims
some front-end work, including drafting and negotiating construction contracts
working closely with the partner on complex, high-value matters
This team is known for giving people real responsibility.
You won't be stuck on the edges of matters.
About you
Construction law experience, with a disputes focus
Purely back-end? That's absolutely fine, front-end experience is a bonus, not a must
A mid-tier or top-tier background, or a specialist construction firm
Practical, commercial and keen to grow with the team
What's on offer
A robust salary package, benchmarked to your experience
Billable targets set to be genuinely achievable
Hands-on partner mentoring and visible progression
Health insurance, paid gym membership and a social, supportive office
