Financial Accountant Construction Company 3 month contract

An experienced Accountant role with a leading construction company focused on delivering quality projects in commercial construction, tenancy work and retail and construction solutions. This is a 3-month contract position based in Wetherill Park, providing accounting services to support the client's construction business.

Key responsibilities
Month end closure and accounts payable and receivable
Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring all transactions are properly recorded
Preparing monthly accounts and cashflow statements
Preparing invoices and BAS statements for review by external accounting firm
Processing payroll and superannuation
Maintaining the fixed asset register
Attending to ad hoc finance and administration matters

About you




Ideally 10 years accounting experience
Robust preference for experience in construction and property sectors with understanding of sector finance nuances
Proficiency in Xero
Degree qualified with CA/CPA qualification
Self-starting with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to work with colleagues and management
