The Green on James Street is a family run, modern Mediterranean restaurant that's been feeding Brisbane since ****. We open seven days for breakfast and lunch, run dinner Friday and Saturday nights, and cater for events and functions all week. Weekends are big, with 400+ covers, and almost everything comes out of our own kitchen from scratch. We're growing and looking for qualified chefs at all levels to join our kitchen. Whether you're a commis, CDP or sous chef, if you take pride in your food and want to keep developing your craft, we'd love to meet you.
Key responsibilities
Prepare and cook bold, generous Mediterranean food from scratch
Work breakfast and lunch service, with dinner shifts Friday and Saturday nights
Maintain high standards of fresh, made in house food
Perform calmly under pressure during busy service on the pass
Contribute to a team workplace on a busy kitchen
About you




3+ years current kitchen experience
Breakfast service experience is a big plus
Calm under pressure and good energy on a busy pass
Full Australian working rights
Food Safety Supervisor certificate highly regarded
Casual and full time roles available
Mostly day shifts, so your evenings are your own most of the week
Staff meals and a team that looks after each other
Room to grow as the business expands
