Gladstone Accounting and Taxation is seeking a part-time or full-time Accountant to join our team in Gladstone, QLD. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to contribute to our growing accounting practice whilst maintaining flexibility in their work schedule. As an Accountant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality accounting and taxation services to our diverse client base, helping businesses and individuals achieve their financial objectives.
Key responsibilities
Prepare and review financial statements and accounts in accordance with accounting standards
Assist with taxation compliance and return preparation for corporate and individual clients
Maintain accurate and organised financial records and general ledger accounts
Reconcile accounts and investigate discrepancies to ensure financial accuracy
Provide support with payroll processing and superannuation obligations
Offer advisory services to clients on accounting and tax matters
Liaise with clients to gather necessary financial documentation and information
Ensure compliance with relevant taxation and accounting regulations
Contribute to the development and implementation of accounting procedures and best practices
What we're looking for
Proven experience working in an accounting or taxation environment, ideally within a professional practice
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation legislation and financial reporting standards
Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office applications




Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
Solid numeracy skills and the ability to manage complex financial information
Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with clients and team members
A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and skilled integrity
