Diploma Trained Early Childhood Educator
to join our dedicated childcare team. This is a
full time position
based at our centre in
Hamlyn Terrace NSW ****
. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care, education and development support to children in our care. Your work will directly contribute to creating a nurturing, stimulating environment where children can learn, grow and thrive during their early years.
Key responsibilities
Planning and implementing age-appropriate learning activities and educational programmes that support children's cognitive, social, emotional and physical development
Providing direct care including feeding, toileting, nappy changing and hygiene practices in accordance with health and safety standards
Supervising children during play and rest times, ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times
Building positive relationships with children and families, fostering communication and supporting parents through regular updates on their child's progress
Maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic environment across all areas of the centre, including play spaces, bathrooms and kitchens
Implementing behaviour guidance strategies that are positive, consistent and developmentally appropriate
Collaborating with colleagues and the centre leadership team to ensure consistent delivery of care and education
Documenting children's learning and development through observations and record-keeping
Complying with all relevant legislation, policies and procedures including child protection and safeguarding requirements
Contributing to team meetings and continuous professional development activities
What we're looking for
A current
Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
or equivalent recognised qualification
Current or the ability to obtain a
Working with Children Check (WWC)
clearance
Current or the ability to obtain a




First Aid and CPR certification
Demonstrated experience working with children in an early childhood education setting
Strong understanding of child development principles and early learning frameworks
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with children, families and colleagues
A genuine passion for supporting children's learning, development and wellbeing
Ability to work as part of a team and contribute positively to a collaborative environment
High standards of personal conduct and commitment to child safety and protection
Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the changing needs of children and families
Physical capability to perform the duties of the role including bending, lifting and standing for extended periods
