application development and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality database solutions across modern AWS environments.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build and support enterprise PostgreSQL database solutions in AWS Aurora environments
Develop and optimise database schemas, queries, functions and triggers for performance and scalability
Collaborate with application, architecture and DevOps teams throughout the delivery lifecycle
Monitor and enhance database performance, availability and resilience
Implement backup, recovery and disaster management strategies
Provide technical guidance, mentoring and support continuous improvement initiatives
Key Skills
Extensive experience designing and supporting PostgreSQL databases
Strong expertise with AWS RDS Aurora and cloud-based database environments
Experience working within Agile delivery teams
Knowledge of database performance tuning, optimisation and scalability practices
Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, database migrations and infrastructure as code
Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and problem-solving skills
