Interior Designer | Commercial Workplace Up to $130,000 + Super | Sydney CBD
Strong in workplace interiors?
Take ownership of projects from design through delivery, with hybrid flexibility and a supportive Sydney CBD team.
Architectural studio or Design & Construct background.
Commercial workplace projects | Revit | Hybrid flexibility | Sydney CBD.
Some Interior Designers reach a point where they want more ownership of their projects.
Not just the design, but the opportunity to see their ideas carried through to construction and delivery.
That's where I think this role could be particularly interesting.
I'm recruiting for an established workplace Design & Construct business looking for an Interior Designer to join its Sydney team.
You could already be working in D&C;, or you might come from an architectural studio where you've been involved in quality commercial workplace projects.
Either way, they're looking for someone who's confident in their design ability, enjoys working with clients and can take responsibility for projects from start to finish.
You'll need to be hands-on with Revit, particularly space planning, and comfortable managing your own workload without constant supervision.
What you'll be doing
Design and develop commercial workplace interiors
Take projects from concept through documentation and delivery
Space plan and work hands-on in Revit
Work directly with clients and present design ideas
Prepare presentations and design material using InDesign
Coordinate consultants and internal project teams
Manage your own workload and project responsibilities
What you'll get
Salary up to $130K + super, depending on experience
Hybrid working, potentially 1-2 days WFH
Small Sydney design team with national support
Direct client exposure and project ownership
Involvement across design and construction
Sydney CBD location
EOFY bonuses and company-paid Friday team lunches
What they're looking for
Interior Design qualifications
Solid commercial workplace interiors experience
Background in an architectural studio or Design & Construct business
Confident Revit skills, particularly space planning
Experience using InDesign
Ability to take projects from design through to delivery
Comfortable working autonomously and directly with clients
Strong design, documentation and communication skills
Full, unrestricted Australian working rights (no sponsorship available) and currently residing in Australia
Role standouts
What I like about this opportunity is that they're not insisting on someone who's already worked in Design & Construct.
If you've spent the last few years in an architectural studio working on quality workplace interiors and you're interested in getting closer to how those projects are delivered, I'd encourage you to have a conversation with me.
The person you'll report to is approachable, supportive and values people who take responsibility for their work.
There's flexibility, but also an expectation that you'll be comfortable getting on with things without needing constant supervision.
Interested?
If you're an Interior Designer with strong workplace experience and you're ready for more ownership, I'd be happy to tell you more about the business, the projects and the people you'd be working with.
