About the Company
Are you a Dental Hygienist or Oral Health Therapist looking for a rewarding clinical position where you can build lasting patient relationships and take pride in delivering exceptional preventive care?
Our client is a well-established dental practice in Brisbane's inner-city region, offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated clinician who values professional independence, patient education and long-term oral health outcomes.
With a strong reputation for providing quality general, restorative and cosmetic dentistry, the practice places particular emphasis on preventive treatments and comprehensive periodontal maintenance.
You'll work alongside an experienced Dentist and fellow dental hygiene professionals in a collaborative environment where your clinical knowledge and contribution are genuinely valued.
About the Position Our client is looking for a confident and patient-focused Dental Hygienist or Oral Health Therapist to join our client's team for 2–3 days per week.
This chance has become available following the departure of an existing Hygienist, meaning you'll be stepping into an established position with regular hygiene appointments and an existing patient base.
Rather than starting from scratch, you'll have the opportunity to continue developing trusted patient relationships while delivering high-quality preventive and periodontal treatments.
The role will initially commence on a casual basis, with the intention of transitioning into permanent employment once both parties are satisfied with the arrangement.
Your clinical responsibilities will include:
- Providing comprehensive dental hygiene treatments, including scaling, polishing and preventive maintenance.
- Performing periodontal assessments,
gum health evaluations and periodontal charting.
- Delivering periodontal maintenance treatments and ongoing management of gum disease.
- Providing fluoride applications and fissure sealants within your clinical scope.
- Developing personalised preventive treatment plans and oral hygiene recommendations.
- Educating patients on periodontal health, disease prevention and effective home-care techniques.
- Supporting maintenance programs for patients who have undergone restorative and cosmetic dental treatments.
- Contributing to patient recall programs and long-term oral health outcomes.
- Maintaining accurate clinical records and high infection control standards.
- Collaborating closely with the Dentist and fellow Hygienists to provide consistent patient care.
Depending on your qualifications and scope of practice, there may also be opportunities to participate in whitening consultations and related maintenance planning.
Key Requirements
- Relevant qualification in Dental Hygiene or Oral Health Therapy.
- Current AHPRA registration with the Dental Board of Australia.

- Excellent communication and patient education skills.
- A genuine interest in preventive dentistry and long-term periodontal care.
- Commitment to professional standards, infection control and patient safety.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a supportive dental team.
- Availability to work 2–3 days per week, Monday to Friday.
