- Lead the accounting treatment and financial close for transactions and restructures, including unit issuances and redemptions.
- Prepare and review statutory financial statements, board papers and month-end, quarter-end and year-end reporting.
- Manage fund tax compliance, including quarterly taxable income statements, annual tax returns and monthly BAS workings.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with investors, auditors and other senior stakeholders,
proactively managing queries and escalations.
- Review financial reporting, investor reports, unit pricing, trial balances, consolidation entries and distribution calculations.
- Strengthen financial controls, improve documentation standards and identify opportunities to streamline processes.
- Drive continuous improvement across systems, automation and resourcing.
- Support the development of team members, building technical capability and contributing to recruitment where required.
About You
You are a technically strong finance professional who is comfortable taking ownership of complex deliverables and working autonomously in a high-volume environment. You can confidently navigate complex accounting matters, work collaboratively with auditors and senior stakeholders, and identify opportunities to improve financial processes.
To be successful, you will bring:
- CA or CPA qualification.
- At least eight years of experience in accounting or professional services.
- Demonstrated experience leading the accounting treatment of transactions and restructures, including resolving technical accounting matters with auditors.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, particularly IFRS, and their practical application.
- Experience in funds management and/or the property sector will be highly regarded.
- Experience with SAP, Anaplan and/or HFM is desirable.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
The Opportunity
