Our client, an independent Federal Government agency that work to enhance our agricultural, fisheries and forestry industries, create new and maintain existing agricultural export opportunities, and manage biosecurity risks to Australia, are looking for a Senior Azure Cloud Engineer.

Duties of the Senior Azure Cloud Engineer:

- Develop, maintain and support CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and Git-based source control practices.
- Implement and support Azure networking, identity, security and monitoring services.
- Support the administration and operation of Azure environments including subscription management, governance controls and platform optimisation.
- Deploy, configure and support enterprise data platform services including Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Azure Storage, Azure SQL and related analytics services.
- Design, deploy, configure and support Azure cloud infrastructure and platform services in accordance with departmental standards and policies.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions.

Skills and Experience Required

- Implementing and supporting Azure cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code, automation and Azure DevOps practices.
- Expertise administering and supporting enterprise Azure services including networking, security, identity, governance and operational monitoring.
- Supporting modern AI,



data and analytics platforms, including Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory and associated Azure data & AI services.
- Communication, collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to operate effectively within multidisciplinary teams and contribute to knowledge sharing. Cultural fit aligned with the APS purpose, policy objectives and mission of Enterprise Data and Digital Business Division.
- Terraform IaC, Azure DevOps CI/CD, networking, governance, Entra ID, RBAC, monitoring and operational support. Experienced with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, SQL and storage services.
