THE OPPORTUNITY

Kempe Engineering George Town, Tasmania is seeking a full-time 1st Class Machinist or Fitter Machinist to join our fast-paced and developing machining workshop in Northern Tasmania. Our work fronts are growing across contracts, upcoming and existing projects, recurring maintenance and shutdown requirements.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Carrying out manual metal machining operations (lathes, mills, grinders, drills etc.)

• Supporting contracts, projects, recurring maintenance and shutdown requirements





• Working safely in line with HSE requirements, responsibilities and obligations

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Essential

• Australian-recognised trade qualification as a 1st Class Machinist or Fitter Machinist

• Solid understanding and awareness of HSE requirements, responsibilities and obligations

• Competent in all facets of manual metal machining operations (lathes, mills, grinders, drills etc.)

• Ability to work proactively in a fast-paced environment

• Disciplined attention to detail and accuracy

• Strong organisational and teamwork skills

• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical

• Current driver’s licence
