About the Role

Are you a professional interested in combining your technical knowledge with business development, customer engagement and commercial problem-solving?

We're looking for an Account Manager to join our Victorian sales team and help build and grow relationships with engineering organisations across the state.

Working alongside experienced Application Engineers, you'll develop an understanding of customers' engineering challenges and learn how to connect them with the right simulation software, technical expertise and training.

You'll be involved in managing existing accounts, identifying new business opportunities and supporting customers across their engineering and product development journeys.

As you gain experience, you'll progressively take ownership of your own customer accounts, sales opportunities and commercial targets.

- Maintain accurate customer records and sales opportunities within our CRM system.

Collaboration & Career development

- Work closely with Application Engineers and technical specialists to understand the capabilities and applications of our solutions.

- Develop knowledge of Ansys and other leading engineering technologies through ongoing training and mentoring.

- Represent LEAP at industry events, technical seminars, customer workshops and university engagements.

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements

- A proactive, self-motivated attitude, with a willingness to learn and take initiative.

- Good organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

- An interest in developing commercial skills and pursuing a career in technical sales and account management.

- Willingness to travel domestically as required.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

- Exposure to engineering simulation software such as Ansys, Abaqus, COMSOL, STAR-CCM+ or similar tools.

- Basic knowledge of engineering simulation disciplines such as FEA, CFD or electromagnetics.

- Previous experience in engineering, technical sales, business development or customer-facing roles.

- An understanding of engineering design, analysis or product development processes.

- An interest in working with engineers, technical managers and business decision-makers.
