About the role

Parkinson Medical Hub is seeking a Casual Medical Receptionist to join our team. This is a casual position offering flexible working arrangements to support our reception and administrative operations. As a Casual Medical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing professional and compassionate service whilst managing a range of administrative tasks. This role is essential to ensuring our practice operations run smoothly and our patients receive an excellent experience from the moment they arrive.

Key responsibilities

- Greeting patients in a professional and friendly manner upon arrival

- Managing reception desk operations, including answering telephone enquiries and directing calls appropriately

- Scheduling and confirming patient appointments

- Handling patient enquiries

- Processing payments and managing cash handling procedures with accuracy

- Assisting with general administrative tasks including filing, data entry and correspondence

What we're looking for

- Previous reception or customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare or medical environment

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients of all backgrounds

- Excellent organisational and time management abilities with the capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively

- Accuracy and attention to detail, particularly when handling patient records and administrative documentation

- A professional demeanor and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy





- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

- Reliable and punctual with flexibility to adapt to casual shift patterns
