AUSTCORP is seeking a Trainee Batcher & Loader Operator who is keen to learn the ropes, develop new skills and build a long-term career in road construction. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with loader experience, a strong work ethic and the right attitude to grow into a skilled asphalt plant operator.
You don’t need to know everything on day one — we’re looking for someone who is willing to learn, takes pride in their work and wants to be part of a solid team. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity for the right person, with the potential to secure ongoing, permanent employment

What will you be doing?
- Learning to operate and assist with the day-to-day running of an asphalt batching plant
- Operating a front-end loader to feed aggregates and materials into the plant
- Loading and moving materials around the yard safely and efficiently
- Assisting with batching, production and material management
- Monitoring stockpiles and keeping the plant and work areas tidy
- Following workplace health and safety procedures
- Working alongside experienced operators to develop your skills
What are we looking for?
- Previous front-end loader experience is highly regarded with RII ticket
- A genuine interest in learning asphalt plant and batching operations
- Mechanically minded, practical and confident using equipment
- Reliable, punctual and willing to get stuck into the job
- Strong awareness of workplace health and safety
- Ability to follow instructions and work well within a team
- A positive attitude and commitment to ongoing employment
Experience in asphalt, quarrying, concrete batching or other industrial production environments will be highly regarded, but the right attitude and willingness to learn are just as important!
