The Business
Planned Resources is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer in Melbourne for a client, a privately owned Australian company with a solid reputation for producing impressive designs in the public and private sectors. They are an award-winning engineering consultancy that has an impressive project portfolio spanning more than 40 years and has completed work across Australia.
The Role
Due to the continued success of the business over the last few years, they are now looking to recruit a Senior Structural Engineer due to project demands. You will report to the Structural Director, whilst helping deliver key projects and mentoring juniors in the team.
Senior Structural Engineer Duties.
- Prepare design specifications and documentation for building projects,
with a heavy focus on steel and concrete design.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
- Attend client meetings, site visits and inspections.
- Work as a team player to ensure deadlines are met.
- Work with and mentor juniors/drafters.
Senior Structural Engineer Skills and Experience
- Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of Australian experience in a similar role.
- Ability to use SPACEGASS, ETABS, RAPT, and RAM Concept.
- Understanding of Australian BCA codes and standards.
