Beaumaris Motor Yacht Squadron, is seeking an Assistant Venue Manager to join their team!

Working alongside the Venue Manager, this role offers real ownership across food and beverage service, functions and events, and day-to-day venue operations in a unique bayside club setting.

What you'll be doing?

- Leading service on the floor. Be a visible and steady presence during service, supporting the team and maintaining high standards across food and beverage delivery.
- Supervising and rostering staff. Coordinate and guide the team through day-to-day rostering and supervision, helping to keep operations running smoothly.
- Managing functions and events. Play a hands-on role in the planning and delivery of functions and events, ensuring every occasion runs seamlessly.
- Overseeing stock control. Keep on top of stock levels and ordering to ensure the venue runs efficiently and cost-effectively.
- Handling reporting and compliance. Contribute to reporting requirements and ensure the venue consistently meets compliance standards, including responsible service of alcohol.
- Responding calmly under pressure. Bring a level head to operational issues as they arise, keeping the team and service on track.

Who are they looking for?

- Current supervisory experience. Candidates currently working as a hospitality supervisor, duty manager, or in a similar senior operational role,



ready to step up into venue management, are encouraged to apply.
- Proven hospitality background. A minimum of 3 to 5 years of hospitality supervisory or management experience is required for this role.
- RSA certification. A valid Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification is required to support the protected and compliant service of alcohol at the venue.
- Comfortable with evening and weekend work. The ability and willingness to work nights and weekends on an ongoing basis is needed, as is typical in a live hospitality environment, though roster flexibility is managed collaboratively.
- Strong organisational skills. An organised, reliable approach to leading teams in live service environments is valued, along with a sense of accountability and pride in running a well-managed operation.
- Right to work in Australia. Valid Australian work authorisation is required for this position.
