Employment: Permanent Full Time AWX Executive is seeking skilled Electrical Fitters for opportunities with engineering firms across Brisbane. These hands-on roles suit tradespeople with experience assembling, maintaining and repairing industrial electrical equipment.
The role
Depending on the workshop and project, your duties may include:
- Assembling, wiring and testing electrical equipment, motors and associated components.
- Diagnosing faults and completing repairs and preventative maintenance.
- Reading electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and technical drawings.
- Installing and replacing electrical and electromechanical components.
- Completing quality checks, test records and job documentation.
- Working closely with engineers and other trades to meet project deadlines.
- Maintaining a safe and organised workshop.
About you
- Relevant electrical trade qualification and Queensland electrical licence appropriate to the work.
- Experience in an engineering workshop, manufacturing or industrial workplace.
- Strong fault-finding skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and work independently.
- A practical approach to safety, quality and teamwork.
- Motor, transformer, switchboard or rotating equipment experience will be highly regarded.
