Due to continued growth, we are looking for a qualified HVAC Service Technician to join our team.

About the Role

This role involves a combination of commercial service, maintenance, fault finding, and installations across multiple sites. You will be responsible for diagnosing system issues, carrying out repairs, and assisting with the installation and commissioning of current HVAC systems. The role includes working on a wide range of commercial air conditioning equipment, including central plant systems, chilled water systems and associated mechanical services.

This is a varied role suited to a technician who enjoys working on both service and installation projects within the commercial sector.

Key Responsibilities

- Service, maintenance, and repair of commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems.
- Fault finding, troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical, electrical and refrigeration system issues.
- Installation and commissioning of commercial air conditioning systems.
- Component replacement, system repairs and upgrades.
- Carrying out scheduled preventative maintenance across commercial client sites.
- Servicing and maintaining commercial central plant systems and associated mechanical equipment.
- Identifying equipment faults, potential failures and recommending repairs or improvements.
- Working with a variety of commercial HVAC systems, including:




- Commercial central plant and chilled water systems
- Air Handling Units (AHUs) and Fan Coil Units (FCUs)
- Chilled water pumps, valves and associated mechanical equipment
- Package units and rooftop systems
- Ducted air conditioning systems
- VRV/VRF systems
- Commercial split systems
- Coolrooms and freezers
- Ventilation and exhaust systems

- Basic fault finding and troubleshooting of HVAC controls and Building Management Systems (BMS).
- Carrying out system testing, performance checks and commissioning.
- Completing accurate service reports, maintenance documentation and recommendations for repairs.
- Maintaining strong relationships with clients on site.
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with industry standards and regulations.

Requirements

- Applicants must currently reside in Western Australia and hold valid Australian working rights.
- Trade qualification in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration
- Current ARCtick Refrigerant Handling license
- WA Restricted Electrical license
- Experience working on commercial HVAC systems
- Experience with commercial central plant systems, chillers and chilled water systems highly regarded
- Installation and commissioning experience highly regarded
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC and refrigeration faults
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Current Driver's License
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills and a professional approach when dealing with clients
