About the Prospect WattleCore Technologies is seeking an Akamai Engineer with strong automation experience to support a major Australian bank. You will work directly with the Akamai platform to onboard, configure and secure applications, tools and services, with a strong focus on automating delivery.
Key Responsibilities - Onboard applications, services and tools onto the Akamai platform end to end - Configure and manage Akamai properties, delivery rules, caching and origin settings - Configure Akamai security products, including App & API Protector / Kona Site Defender, WAF and Bot Manager - Manage Edge DNS, Global Traffic Management and SSL/TLS certificates - Automate Akamai configuration and onboarding using Terraform, Akamai APIs and the Akamai CLI - Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Akamai configuration changes - Troubleshoot performance, caching and security issues at the edge - Work with application,
network and security teams to ensure secure and reliable delivery Essential Skills and Experience - 3+ years' hands-on experience working directly with Akamai - Akamai Control Center and Property Manager configuration - Proven experience onboarding applications and services onto Akamai - Strong automation skills: Terraform (Akamai provider), Akamai APIs and CLI - Scripting in Python, Bash or PowerShell - CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps or GitLab - Solid understanding of CDN, DNS, HTTP/S, TLS and web application security - Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills Highly Regarded - Banking or financial services experience - Akamai EdgeWorkers and API security - Cloud platforms (AWS / Azure) - Change management in regulated environments - Akamai certifications Eligibility Full Australian work rights are required.
