Job Title: Senior API Developer / Java Spring Boot Developer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior API Developer with 10+ years of hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, and API development. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in designing, developing, integrating, and maintaining scalable, secure, and high-performance RESTful APIs and microservices.

The candidate should have experience in enterprise application development, API integration, system design, performance optimisation, and cloud-based environments.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.

Build scalable, secure, and high-performance backend applications.

Develop API integrations between internal applications and external systems.

Implement API security using OAuth 2.0, JWT, and other authentication and authorisation mechanisms.

Work with relational and NoSQL databases, including query optimisation and data modelling.

Develop and maintain microservices-based architectures.

Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and well-documented code.

Perform unit testing, integration testing, debugging, and performance tuning.

Collaborate with architects, business analysts,



QA engineers, and DevOps teams.

Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and solution design activities.

Troubleshoot production issues and ensure application reliability.

Follow best practices for CI/CD, version control, and Agile software development.

Required Skills and Qualifications

10+ years of experience in Java application development, with strong hands-on expertise in Spring Boot.

Extensive experience in REST API design, development, testing, and integration.

Solid knowledge of Java, Spring Framework, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, and Hibernate.

Experience developing microservices and distributed applications.

Strong understanding of API security, authentication, authorisation, and access control.

Experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MySQL.

Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman, Swagger, and OpenAPI.

Experience with unit testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.

Knowledge of Git, Maven or Gradle, and CI/CD pipelines.

Understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
