Lawson Elliott Recruitment is partnering with a established and growing property services organisation with a strong presence in the market. This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful business and play an important part in a hands-on Assistant Accountant role combined with process improvement and project work. Reporting to the Accountant, you will have broad range of responsibilities including:
- Manage day-to-day accounts across a portfolio of offices
- Accounts payable and receivable
- Allocate payments
- Daily bank reconciliations
- Trust accounting
- Resolve payment discrepancies
- Support with month end and reporting requirements
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and streamline workflows
- Provide support across various projects
- Ad hoc duties as required

Ideal candidate for this role:




- 4+ years’ experience in a Assistant Accountant or similar finance position
- Previous experience with trust accounting and a strong understanding of trust accounting requirements
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- High level of accuracy and attention
- A proactive, self-motivated approach with the confidence to take ownership and identify opportunities for improvement
- Previous experience using accounting systems and ERP platforms
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills will be highly regarded
