As Audit Director, you will play a key role in shaping audit strategy, strengthening client relationships and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, risk-focused audit engagements.

The Role

- Audit Leadership: Oversee and lead complex audit engagements, ensuring compliance with Australian auditing standards, regulatory requirements and internal quality frameworks.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain trusted relationships with key clients, acting as a senior adviser and identifying opportunities to enhance service delivery.
- Business Development: Drive revenue growth through current client acquisition, strategic networking, proposal development and expansion of existing client relationships.
- Team Development: Lead,



mentor and develop audit partners, senior managers, managers and wider engagement teams, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.

About You:

- Extensive experience in external audit and assurance, ideally within a Big Four, mid-tier or leading professional services firm.
- A recognised professional accounting qualification, such as CA ANZ, CPA Australia or an equivalent internationally recognised qualification.
- A strong understanding of Australian auditing standards, financial reporting frameworks and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Proven experience leading complex audit engagements and managing significant client portfolios.
- A strong track record of business development, client retention and revenue growth.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to inspire, develop and retain high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and commercial decision-making skills.
