About the role

Evans Head RSL is seeking Casual Bar & Bistro Attendants to join Our Team.

These roles would primarily suit, students, those return to the workforce, semi retired or individuals seeking a bit of extra income.

Weekend and Night work required.

Duties

Provide friendly, efficient and professional bar, gaming machine, TAB and Keno service to members and guests. Help maintain a welcoming, clean and safe environment while protecting Club stock, handling transactions accurately and following responsible service of alcohol requirements and Club procedures.

Key responsibilities

- Welcome members and guests, take orders accurately and provide prompt, courteous service during quiet and busy periods

- Prepare and serve beer, wine, spirits and non-alcoholic beverages using approved recipes, measures, glassware and presentation standards

- Operate the point of sale system and EFTPOS accurately, apply approved prices and discounts, and issue receipts as required

- Follow cash handling, float, till reconciliation and security procedures; report discrepancies promptly

- Maintain the required current NSW Responsible Service of Alcohol competency and apply RSA training and Club procedures on every shift

- Check identification when required, monitor patron behaviour and refuse service when required, seeking Duty Manager support promptly

- Process gaming tickets, payouts,



cancelled credits and other authorised transactions accurately, following verification, approval, identification and payment procedures

- Operate TAB and Keno terminals only after completing required operator training and receiving authorisation

- Clean and sanitise bar surfaces, glassware, utensils, equipment and service areas; keep ice handling and storage hygienic

- Attend shifts punctually, present in the required uniform and maintain appropriate personal hygiene

About you

- Current NSW RSA and RCG competencies and required endorsements, maintained throughout employment

- Friendly communication skills, a customer service focus and the ability to remain calm under pressure

- Sound numeracy, attention to detail and the ability to handle payments and follow written and verbal instructions

- Ability to work effectively in a team and complete assigned tasks with appropriate supervision

- Availability for rostered shifts, which may include evenings, weekends and public holidays, as agreed

- Ability to carry out the inherent requirements of bar work safely, with reasonable adjustments where required

- Previous bar, gaming machine, TAB and Keno experience is desirable
