About the Role

Pause Button Cafe is looking for a friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic Casual Barista to join our team in Coomera.

We are looking for someone who enjoys making quality coffee, providing excellent customer service, and working in a fast-paced cafe environment. The ideal candidate is a team player who takes pride in their work, pays attention to detail, and is passionate about creating a welcoming experience for every customer.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and other beverages consistently.
- Operate and maintain espresso machines, coffee grinders, and other coffee-making equipment.
- Provide friendly, efficient, and skilled customer service.
- Take customer orders and process payments accurately using the POS system.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee station, counter, and customer areas.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety standards.
- Restock coffee beans, milk, cups, takeaway packaging, and other supplies as required.
- Work closely with the kitchen and front-of-house team to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Assist with general cafe duties when required.
- Follow opening, closing, and cleaning procedures.

About You
- Previous barista experience is preferred.




- Confident in operating a commercial espresso machine and preparing a range of espresso-based coffees.
- Good knowledge of coffee preparation, milk steaming, and latte art is an advantage.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and well-organised.
- Able to work efficiently under pressure during busy service periods.
- A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and strong teamwork skills.
- Able to follow instructions and maintain consistent standards.
- Available to work flexible casual shifts, including weekends and public holidays when required.
- Australian working rights appropriate for the role.
