Poppy Scrolls is a growing café and bakery based in Southport, Gold Coast, specialising in freshly baked cinnamon scrolls, quality coffee and a range of cold beverages.
We are looking for a friendly, reliable and enthusiastic Barista / All-Rounder to join our team as we grow our new store.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced café workplace, providing excellent customer service and being involved in different areas of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare high-quality espresso coffee consistently to Poppy Scrolls standards.
- Operate and maintain the espresso machine, grinder and other café equipment.
- Prepare hot and cold beverages, including iced drinks and specialty beverages.
- Ensure coffee and beverage presentation meets our quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee station throughout service.
- Monitor coffee, milk, cups and other beverage stock and communicate when supplies are running low.
The successful applicant will ideally have:
- Previous barista or café experience.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- A positive and friendly attitude.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good personal presentation and hygiene.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Willingness to assist across different areas of the café.
