Riwayah Café & Rest is looking for a passionate, experienced and customer-focused Barista to join our team on a full-time basis. We aim to create a welcoming atmosphere where customers can enjoy quality coffee, delicious food and excellent service.
We are seeking someone who takes pride in their coffee-making skills, enjoys working with people and can contribute to the smooth day-to-day operation of our café.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and other beverages to a consistent standard.
- Operate espresso machines and coffee equipment confidently.
- Provide friendly, qualified and efficient customer service.
- Take customer orders and process payments accurately using the POS system.
- Serve food and drinks promptly and professionally.
- Assist with basic food preparation and general kitchen duties when required.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene throughout the café, including the coffee station, dining area and kitchen.
- Follow food safety, workplace health and safety procedures.
- Restock supplies and help maintain an organised and welcoming environment.
- Work collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth daily operations.
About You The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous barista experience in a café or similar hospitality workplace.
- Strong coffee-making skills and knowledge of espresso-based beverages.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- A friendly, positive attitude and professional presentation.
- The ability to work efficiently in a busy environment.
- Good time management and attention to detail.
- A reliable, punctual and team-oriented approach.
- A willingness to assist with general café and kitchen duties.
- A good understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
