Set in the heart of Surfers Paradise and on the doorstep of the famous Surfers Paradise Beach, Island Gold Coast boutique hotel is looking for a passionate and reliable Breakfast Chef to join our team!! Full time & Casual positions available. This position's roster includes early morning shifts and weekend hours.

Skills and Experience

- Enjoy working in a fast-paced morning environment with a true passion for high-volume breakfast cooking and excellent presentation.
- Proven ability working in a large capacity venue delivering quick ticket times under pressure.
- Demonstrate high-level proficiency across short-order cooking, eggs, prep, and breakfast buffet setups.
- Follow venue menu planning for morning preparation and service.
- Experience in production kitchens or boutique hotel breakfast operations is advantageous.
- A keen eye for detail, punctuality, and a positive, early-bird approach.
- Strong understanding of kitchen stock rotation and early morning prep efficiency.




- Proven ability to lead by example on the morning shift and maintain a clean, well-organised workstation.
- Excellent organisational skills and independence in managing early shift duties.
- Support junior staff and foster a positive, respectful, and energetic kitchen culture.

Qualifications:
- At least 2 years’ experience in a similar breakfast or short-order chef role
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
- Proven relevant experience in a busy cafe, hotel, or restaurant environment
- Food Handling Skill Set
