Fleetwood is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join our Sales team based in Para Hills. Reporting to the State Manager SA, you’ll play a key role in driving new business growth and strengthening our presence across key markets.

Working within the exciting modular construction industry, you’ll be responsible for identifying, developing, and converting new business opportunities while building strong, long-term relationships with existing customers. You’ll pursue opportunities across target markets including mining, defence, and education, connecting customer needs with Fleetwood’s modular building capabilities.

This is a hands-on business development role where you’ll be involved across the full project cycle, from identifying and qualifying opportunities through bids, presentations and negotiations to project delivery, customer follow-up, and ongoing account management.

Key responsibilities

- Identify, develop, and convert business opportunities across target markets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers, supporting key account management.
- Qualify opportunities and lead bids, tenders, proposals, presentations, and commercial negotiations.
- Research market trends, competitors, and customer need to identify opportunities and grow market share.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop tailored solutions that meet customer and project requirements.
- Support the full project lifecycle, from initial sales prospect through delivery, customer follow-up, and feedback.
- Maintain CRM and sales pipeline activities, while attending customer and site meetings as required.

About you

You’re a commercially minded Business Development professional who knows how to turn opportunities into meaningful customer relationships and sustainable business growth. You’ll be comfortable working with a range of stakeholders,



presenting solutions, negotiating commercial opportunities, and navigating the complexities of project-based sales.

Experience within construction, civil or a project-based environment would be particularly valuable.

What you’ll bring

- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar business development role.
- Demonstrated business development management experience and strong bid management capability.
- Experience within construction, civil or project environments is preferred.
- Strong commercial awareness with the drive and energy to deliver results.
- Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- A genuine focus on delivering a high level of customer service.
- Strong capability across Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and CRM systems.
