We are currently seeking a reliable butcher to to work at an established butcher/meat wholesaler in Prospect, NSW.

Alpine Game Meats have specialised in the processing and supply of game meats for over 40 years and are now looking to expand the team. If you are eager to learn, able to work as part of a team and thrive in hands-on roles, this may be the opportunity for you!

Your duties will include

- trimming, preparing, deboning and breaking down a variety of game meat animals
- Weighing, labelling and packaging products
- Safely operating a range of commercial butchery/processing equipment
- Preparation and portioning of meat products in bulk
- Maintaining a secure working environment and practicing knife safety
- Following food safety and hygiene protocols




- Maintaining a clean and hygienic work area

This role will involve early starts (sometimes as early as 4am), heavy lifting and working in walk-in freezers and cool rooms. Experience and butchery qualifications required. along with knowledge of food safety laws and legislation are highly desirable. A level of physical fitness to carry out the duties listed above is also required.
