Custom Cabinetry WA

Gnangara

We are looking for an experienced, qualified Cabinet Maker to join our small, growing custom cabinetry business based in Gnangara.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working in the factory, building quality custom cabinetry and installing it on site. We are a one-stop shop, managing the entire process in-house, from design and CNC cutting through to manufacturing, assembly and installation.

Our work includes custom kitchens, wardrobes, bathroom vanities, TV and entertainment units, offices and other bespoke cabinetry projects.

We're looking for someone who knows their trade, takes pride in their workmanship and can work independently while being part of a small team.

For the right person, there will be an opportunity to progress into a Factory Manager role as the business grows, with the potential to step back from the tools, oversee production and manage a small team. Initially, however, this is a hands-on position, and we need someone who is confident and experienced in both factory work and on-site installation.

What you'll be doing

- Manufacturing, edging and assembling custom cabinetry from CNC-cut components.
- Reading and interpreting plans, drawings and job specifications.
- Operating CNC machinery, edge banders and other woodworking machinery.
- Installing custom cabinetry on site, including kitchens, wardrobes, vanities and entertainment units.
- Carrying out site measures and checking dimensions when required.
- Ensuring cabinetry is manufactured accurately and installed to a high standard.
- Organising your workload and planning jobs to meet deadlines.
- Identifying and resolving manufacturing and installation issues.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe factory and worksite.
- Working closely with the team to keep jobs running smoothly and deliver quality results.

As the business grows, the role may develop to include coordinating factory production, overseeing workflow,

training team members and managing a small team.

What we're looking for

- Trade certificate in Cabinet Making or Shopfitting is essential.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in both factory-based cabinetry manufacturing and on-site installation.
- Strong practical knowledge of custom cabinetry, from CNC-cut components through to final installation.
- Experience with woodworking machinery, edge banders, power tools and hand tools.
- Ability to read plans, work accurately and solve problems on the go.
- Good time management, organisation and attention to detail.
- Reliable, respectful and willing to take responsibility for your work.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn and contribute to the business.
- Current driver's licence and White Card.
- Own vehicle and tools suitable for the role.

Previous experience supervising others is an advantage but is not essential. We're more interested in finding the right cabinet maker with the skills, attitude and potential to grow with us.

What we offer

- Competitive pay based on proven skills and experience.
- Flexible working arrangements and a good work-life balance.
- The possibility of a three-day weekend by arrangement.
- Wages or ABN arrangements, subject to agreement and applicable requirements.
- Occasional bonuses for outstanding work.
- A friendly, small-business environment where your contribution matters.
- Variety in your work, from factory manufacturing to in office installations.

- The opportunity to grow with the business and progress into a factory management and team leadership role.
- Potential flexibility for your own side projects by arrangement.

About us We are a small, hands-on custom cabinetry business based in Gnangara. We design, CNC cut, manufacture, build and install all our own cabinetry, including kitchens, wardrobes, bathroom vanities, entertainment units, offices and other custom projects.

We take pride in our workmanship and believe in doing things properly from start to finish. We're looking for someone who shares those values, enjoys their trade and wants to be part of a business where they can make a real contribution.

We're not a large corporate operation. We value good people, quality work, reliability and a sensible work-life balance.

As we continue to grow, we want to bring the right person into the business who can grow with us, take on more responsibility over time and potentially move into a leadership role when the opportunity arises.
