About Us

We are a busy, well-established café located within a major hospital in Parkville, Melbourne, serving hospital staff, patients and visitors.

We offer a wide range of freshly prepared meals, sandwiches, specialty coffee, fresh juices and smoothies.

We are looking for an experienced, reliable and detail-oriented Café Allrounder who can confidently work across different areas of the café and help deliver smooth, efficient service in a rapid-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Customer Service & POS: Take customer orders, operate the POS system, process payments accurately and provide friendly, efficient customer service.
- Coffee & Beverages: Prepare and serve quality coffee, hot and cold beverages, fresh juices and smoothies.
- Hot Food Service: Serve hot meals from our Bain Marie display, ensuring correct portions, presentation and food safety.
- Sandwich & Grab-and-Go: Assist with sandwich preparation, food displays, packaging and replenishment of ready-to-eat products.
- Food Preparation: Assist with basic food preparation, light meals and other café products as required.
- Stock Replenishment: Keep drinks fridges, food displays, counters and service areas fully stocked and well presented.
- Cleanliness & Hygiene: Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic work environment, including equipment, counters and customer areas.
- Teamwork & Flexibility: Move efficiently between different café stations and support team members during busy periods.
- Daily Operations: Assist with opening, closing,



restocking and other general café duties.

About You
- Previous experience as a Café Allrounder in a busy café or hospitality environment is essential.
- Reliable, punctual, responsible and committed to your work.
- Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy, cleanliness and consistency.
- Confident working across multiple stations, including POS, coffee, beverages and food service.
- Barista experience and the ability to prepare quality coffee efficiently are highly desirable.
- Able to work independently, take initiative and complete tasks without constant supervision.
- Fast, organised and capable of handling high-volume service during peak periods.
- Friendly, professional and confident when communicating with customers.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Willing to learn, adaptable and happy to assist wherever needed.
- Good understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
- A positive attitude and genuine commitment to providing excellent customer service.
