The Opportunity The Café and Food Technology Assistant plays an important role in supporting the daily operation of The Middle School Café and practical food learning programs. Working closely with teaching staff, this role assists with café operations, food preparation, ordering, administration, and classroom support while helping students develop practical hospitality, customer service, and workplace skills in a dynamic, hands-on learning environment.

About You

- Experience in hospitality, food preparation, café operations, or a similar environment.
- A passion for supporting young people and contributing to positive learning experiences.
- Solid customer service and communication skills.
- The ability to maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and organisation.
- Experience using POS systems and café equipment, including coffee machines (desirable).
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise and work independently.
- A proactive, reliable, and solutions-focused approach.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to operational excellence.
- The ability to build positive relationships with students, staff,



and suppliers.
- Relevant qualifications and certifications, including a Working with Children Check and Food Handling Certificate.
