Baked Collective is looking for an experienced Baker and Cake Decorator. The role involves stacking and decorating cakes, delivering wedding cakes (mainly on Saturdays between 12pm-6pm, with occasional Sunday and Friday deliveries), planning and checking schedules, serving and fulfilling customer orders, and maintaining the cleanliness and sanitary standards of the workplace and kitchen.
Key responsibilities
- Cake decorating
- Cutting and stacking cake layers
- Mixing and baking cakes
- Cleaning and organising inventory
- Delivering wedding cakes
- Liaising with wedding coordinators
- Jumping into other roles where needed (shopfront/cafe, baking other items, slices/brownies etc)
About you
- Prior experience in cake decorating in a professional setting
- Ability to learn rapid and pay attention to detail when handling allergy friendly cakes
- Neat buttercream and piping skills
- Experience working on retro/vintage style cakes and tiered wedding cakes
- Positive attitude and hardworking
- Willing to comply to health and food safety standards
- Driver's license with own vehicle
- Ability to work in a team
