Adelaide Sterilisation is looking for a reliable and detail focused Casual Sterilisation Technician to join our team and assist with the cleaning, preparation, packaging and sterilisation of reusable medical instruments for healthcare clinics across Adelaide.
This role would suit someone who is organised, careful, comfortable following strict procedures and committed to maintaining high standards of infection control and patient safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and sort reusable medical instruments for reprocessing
- Clean and decontaminate instruments in accordance with approved procedures
- Inspect instruments for cleanliness, condition and functionality
- Assemble instrument sets and packs according to clinic requirements
- Package and label instruments correctly prior to sterilisation

- Is comfortable following detailed procedures and checklists
- Has positive communication skills
- Can work independently as well as part of a team
- Understands the importance of infection control and patient safety
- Knowledge of AS 5369 and relevant Australian sterilisation standards would be high bonus!
