Yakisan is on the lookout for passionate, skilled Chefs to join our kitchen team in North Adelaide. We’re looking for chefs who love working with bold flavours, have a genuine passion for modern Asian cuisine, and thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

THE ROLE

You’ll be working alongside our kitchen team to deliver Yakisan’s up-to-date Japanese and Korean-inspired menu, ensuring every dish is executed with precision, quality and attention to detail. We’re looking for chefs who are hands-on, motivated and ready to contribute to a kitchen that takes pride in what it puts out.

What we’re looking for:

- At least 2 years’ experience in a quality, fast-paced restaurant kitchen
- A genuine passion for modern Asian cuisine, particularly Japanese and Korean-inspired dishes
- Strong preparation, cooking and presentation skills
- The ability to maintain consistency and quality during busy service
- Excellent organisation, multitasking and time management skills
- A calm, team-first attitude under pressure
- Strong communication and the ability to work collaboratively
- A solid understanding of food safety,



hygiene and kitchen standards
- Relevant culinary qualifications preferred

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

- Preparing and executing dishes to Yakisan’s standards
- Maintaining a clean, organised and efficient kitchen
- Working closely with the Head Chef and wider kitchen team to deliver smooth service
- Contributing to menu development, new ideas and continuous improvement
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members where required
- Ensuring consistency across flavour, quality and presentation
- Contributing to a positive kitchen culture built on teamwork and accountability
