ANBA PAULA PTY LTD operates as Little Scribblers Early Learning Centres across New South Wales and Victoria. We are looking for two experienced, Diploma-qualified Child Care Workers to join our NSW team on a full-time, ongoing basis.

About the role

Reporting to the Centre Manager, you will provide education and care to children in your room and contribute to the day-to-day operation of the room. Your duties will include:

- providing direct care and active supervision of babies and young children, including meals, nappy changing and toileting, hygiene, sleep and rest routines, required sleep checks and individual care needs;
- planning, preparing and conducting age-appropriate educational, developmental and recreational activities, supervising children during indoor and outdoor play, and preparing the materials and equipment they need;
- observing and documenting children's learning, development, behaviour and wellbeing, and contributing to programming and critical reflection;
- guiding children's behaviour and social development using positive, respectful strategies and supporting children with additional needs;
- identifying signs of illness, injury or developmental concern and reporting and recording them in line with centre procedures;
- maintaining required educator-to-child ratios and a safe, hygienic environment, identifying and managing hazards, and completing incident, injury, trauma and illness records;
- communicating with families about their child's routines, progress and needs;
- guiding,



mentoring and supporting other educators in the room, coordinating room routines, allocating room duties and assisting with room staffing arrangements as required; and
- complying with the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations, child protection obligations and centre policies.

Essential requirements

- an ACECQA-approved Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, or an ACECQA-approved equivalent or higher qualification suitable for employment as a diploma-qualified educator;
- at least one year of relevant work experience (full-time, or equivalent part-time or casual experience) in an early childhood education and care setting, including direct care and supervision of children;
- a current NSW Working with Children Check, or the ability to obtain one before commencement;
- good written and spoken English.

What we offer

- salary of $80,000 – $85,000 per annum plus superannuation, depending on qualifications and experience;
- full time, ongoing employment, Monday to Friday (rostered shifts within centre operating hours);
