Infinite Engineering is seeking an experienced CNC Mill Turn Setter / Machinist to join our Sunshine West production team. You'll be working with DMG MORI and MORI SEIKI mill-turn machines, producing precision components in an established manufacturing environment. This is a genuine machine-setting position requiring someone who can confidently prepare, set up, prove out and run production jobs with minimal supervision.
Key responsibilities
- Independently setting up CNC mill-turn machines for production
- Setting tooling, work holding, offsets and machining parameters
- Setting up and operating automatic bar feeders
- Loading, checking and safely proving CNC programs
- Producing and inspecting first-off components
- Making tooling and wear offset adjustments
- Troubleshooting machining and setup issues
- Maintaining consistent quality across production runs
- Improving setups, cycle times and production efficiency
- Following company quality and safety procedures
About you
- Proven experience independently setting CNC turning or mill-turn machines
- Strong practical knowledge of CNC machining processes
- Confidence with tooling, offsets, work holding and program prove-outs
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience using precision measuring equipment
- Ability to identify and resolve machining issues
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Reliability, initiative and the ability to work independently
- Full Australian working rights and currently reside in Australia
