Hancock Energy is seeking a highly motivated Commercial Advisor & Analyst to join our growing team and support our oil and gas operations across the full asset lifecycle, from exploration and project development through to production.

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded skilled who enjoys working at the intersection of strategy, finance, operations, and stakeholder management. You will play a key role in evaluating opportunities, supporting commercial negotiations, managing joint venture relationships, and providing critical analysis that informs business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

- Support joint venture governance, budgeting, stakeholder engagement, and commercial negotiations.
- Assist with infrastructure access, transportation, tolling, and gas sales agreements.
- Draft, negotiate, and administer commercial and project agreements.
- Manage contractual obligations, milestones, and key commercial deliverables.
- Partner with Finance, Legal, Technical, HSE, and Approvals teams to meet project objectives.




- Develop financial models and perform commercial analysis to support investment and business decisions.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and recommendations for management and stakeholders.
- Support the implementation and ongoing management of key commercial agreements.
- Assist with contracting, procurement, and tender processes.
- Identify commercial risks and opportunities to maximise project value.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive successful outcomes.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- 3 years' experience in commercial, finance, or project delivery roles within the energy, resources, or infrastructure sectors.
- Oil & Gas industry experience.
- Strong commercial acumen and analytical capability, with experience in financial modelling and business decision support.
- Experience supporting commercial agreements, joint ventures, and stakeholder engagement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across technical and business teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive, adaptable, and results-driven, with a strong ownership mindset.
- Degree-qualified in Finance, Commerce, Economics, Business, Law, or a related discipline.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
