About the Role:We are seeking a energetic and experienced Conference & Events Operations Manager to oversee banquets and events operations at Crowne Plaza Surfers Paradise. This role is ideal for an events-focused hospitality professional who thrives in a fast-paced hotel environment and brings strong leadership, operational excellence, and a passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences.

Reporting to the Hotel Operations Manager, you will lead a large and dedicated banquets team across conferences, events, and weddings, ensuring seamless execution while driving service standards, team performance, and financial outcomes. With the beach on your doorstep and a supportive leadership team around you, this role offers both career progression and lifestyle balance.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide senior leadership across banquets, conferences, and events operations
- Drive service standards, operational excellence, and guest satisfaction
- Oversee departmental financial performance including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
- Lead workforce planning, rostering, and team performance to meet commercial targets
- Monitor guest feedback and implement continuous improvement initiatives




- Identify opportunities to maximise revenue and operational efficiencies
- Maintain strong communication with hotel leadership and key stakeholders

About You:

- Proven leader with significant experience in hotel conferencing and events operations
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets and cost control
- Guest-focused with a track record of delivering premium service standards
- Confident, hands-on leader who inspires, mentors, and develops teams
- Highly organised with strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Current RSA & RCG qualifications
- Solid knowledge of WHS legislation and compliance
- KPI-driven with the ability to lead performance outcomes
