Victory Minerals Pty Ltd is a private, well-funded company that acquired the world renown Ballarat Gold mine in 2024 and has since invested approximately $125m into capital and growth of the project, significantly improving development and production at the same time. Mining is within what was historically the third highest Gold producing area in Australia (up until 1990) and consistently delivers approximately 30,000 to 40,000 ounces per annum with increased exploration rapidly growing potential for up to 60,000 to 80,000 ounces per annum.

CTF Operator/Project Crew

We're looking for a motivated CTF Operator/Project Crew Member to support a range of site projects. This role will initially operate on a 5:2, 4:3 roster, with the potential to transition to a 7:7 dayshift Roster. Reporting to the Electrical & Fixed Plant Foreman, the successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, maintenance and repair of underground plant and equipment, including:

CTF (Cemented Tails Fill) Duties:

- Day to day running of the CTF to transport paste underground
- Underground inspections of all pipelines, valves and associated apparatus of the CTF, replacing/maintenance on parts if needed
- Installation of infrastructure on the surface and underground, including valves, pipes, cameras etc
- Daily sampling of materials using correct tools to ensure quality mixtures




- Ability to work unsupervised, have valuable communication and organisation skills

Surface:

- Plumbing and building maintenance, replacing taps, pipes, decking boards etc.

Underground:

- Assisting the Fixed Plant Fitter with pump repairs, mono servicing, repairs, and replacement
- Small and major project work, pump station installs, fan installs, vent wall/door installs.
- Fan repairs
- Maintain and working on the main dewatering system, air system and mine water system
- Machine operations, eg: IT, Loaders

General:

- Maintaining good housekeeping and a safe work environment.
- Organising for the supply of materials and equipment required to carry out maintenance and repairs activities.
- Diagnosing faults and/or breakdowns of plant and equipment.

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate

- Current Australian Drivers licence required
- A Trade is highly desirable (e.g. Carpentry, handyman, Fitter, Boilermaker)
- Knowledge, skills, and competencies around operating mechanised, lifting and handheld equipment
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
- Able to work in an underground environment and complete an Underground induction.
- Some computer literacy.
- Ability to multi-task, change priorities, achieve tasks on time, all with minimal supervision.
