One of our Federal Government Clients is seeking to engage a Delivery Manager. This is a long-term contractual position.

Contract Duration: 08 months + 24 months extension

Work Location : Canberra (03 Days office/02 Days home per week)

Eligibility: You must need to have Baseline Security Clearance or above.

Mandatory Skills & Experience

Delivery Managers unblock issues, support the delivery team, and monitor and improve performance of the team. They use agile methodologies, learning and iterating the product and processes frequently to meet user needs. They work with Product Managers to define the roadmap for products and services, remove blockers and support the delivery team so that they can maintain delivery throughput.

- Measurement level 4 : Supports projects, functions or teams in the development of measurement methods .
- Methods and tools level 4 : Provides advice and guidance to support the adoption of methods and tools and adherence to policies and standards .
- Performance management level 5 : Sets the quality, performance and capability targets in line with organisational goals.
- Project management 5 : Takes full responsibility for the definition, approach, facilitation and satisfactory completion of medium-scale projects . Provides effective leadership to the project team . Adopts appropriate project management methods and tools .
- Resourcing level 4 : Facilitates and supports the execution of resourcing activities in collaboration with managers and teams.

Niche/core experience to target:

- Managing project scope, schedule, budget, resourcing, risks, issues, procurement, stakeholder engagement, change control, governance and reporting in alignment with organisational requirements;
- Managing project activities across highly complex ICT projects using established project management methodologies;
- Managing,



facilitating and supporting project delivery teams and individuals to achieve organisational objectives;
- Maintaining appropriate systems development methods, tools and techniques;
- Tracking and managing costs, timelines, quality, resource usage and issues, and taking appropriate action as required;
- Managing resources for the project to ensure the deliverables are completed within identified time frame and agreed cost;
- Documenting a management plan that identifies the actions required to realise benefits ;
- Developing and maintaining strong effective working relationships with key management personnel and internal client base.
- Deliverables: Project Initiation Document ; Project Schedules ; Project Implementation Plans ; Project Management Plans ; Benefits Management Plans ; Stage plans ; Baseline Change Requests ; Statement of Requirements ; Transition Plans ; Log of all agreed changes to business practices and processes ; weekly status progress reports ; Risk Management Plans .
- About the team: Infrastructure Project Delivery Section – delivery management services for Property projects including those related to on-site data/communications room to support property relocations, recent buildings, building uplift or fit-out, district offices, ministerial offices, airports and seaports ; internal infrastructure capital projects ; ‘Senior Supplier’ management of infrastructure components of external projects.
- About the project: Maritime Vessel ICT Sustainment (MVIS)/E-CAPES Program – delivering the required high-side and low side ICT infrastructure for the new E-Cape vessel fleet .
