About the role

Candia Care & Support is seeking a passionate and dedicated Disability Support Worker to join our team in Port Macquarie, NSW. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing compassionate care and support to individuals with disabilities, empowering them to live independent and fulfilling lives. This is a casual position, offering the flexibility to work around your schedule.

What you'll be doing

- Assisting clients with personal care tasks, such as grooming, bathing, and dressing

- Providing support with daily living activities, including meal preparation, light housekeeping, and community engagement

- Accompanying clients to appointments, social activities, and community events

- Advocating for clients' rights and ensuring their needs are met

- Documenting client progress and maintaining accurate records

- Collaborating with the broader care team to develop and implement personalised support plans

What we're looking for

- Demonstrated experience in providing care and support to individuals with disabilities

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and their families
- A strong commitment to promoting client independence, dignity, and wellbeing





- Flexibility and the ability to adapt to the changing needs of clients

- Relevant qualifications, such as a Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent
- A valid driver's licence and access to reliable transportation
