Support Worker Co is a leading Support Worker Agency that provides best-fit Disability Support Workers to Disability Service providers across Australia.

We are currently seeking Casual Support Workers to support adult NDIS participants in a SIL house located in Elizabeth Vale.

The Female Participants being supported at the SIL require personal care support and therefore have requested Female Support Workers to assist with their personal hygiene support.

Overview of the role:

- We have opportunities to support people in a SIL arrangement based in Elizabeth Vale.
- 24-hour care model, meaning staff are required to work a combination of shifts – morning (from 6am), afternoon (from 2pm) and sleep over shifts
- We offer 8-hour and 3-hour shifts and staff are required to cover both.
- Assist clients with complex physical and intellectual disabilities, such as Cerebral Palsy, Spina-Bifida, Spinal Injuries, Autism, Dementia, Epilepsy.
- Provide support with high level personal hygiene such as toileting, showering, feeding, continence care, PEG Feeding, using manual handling equipment (ceiling hoists, stand up lifters) and assisting with routine medication.
- Following specific positive behaviour support plans (PBSP)

Assist participants with engaging in community, social and recreational activities.

- Support people within both group settings and 1-on-1 arrangements.
- Use a company vehicle and/or your own vehicle to transport participants to community-based outings.

What you need:





- 12 months paid experience supporting NDIS clients in SILs with complex physical & intellectual disabilities.
- Ability to work a combination of AM, PM and sleep over shifts (must be willing to cover short 3-hour shifts from 6am-9am)
- Full Australian Driver's License (no overseas licences)
- Experience driving a van
- First Aid Certificate
- CPR
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working with Children Check for paid employment
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- Reliable smart phone with data
