TÁVOLA is an Italian restaurant on Centre Road in Bentleigh. We’re looking for a reliable Dishwasher / Kitchen Hand to support our kitchen team on an ongoing casual basis.
This is a hands-on role combining dishwashing, cleaning and food preparation.
Your responsibilities:
- Washing dishes, pots, pans and kitchen equipment.
- Assisting the chefs with daily preparation, including washing and cutting vegetables, weighing ingredients and portioning food.
- Following instructions to prepare and organise ingredients ready for service.
- Keeping workstations, equipment and storage areas clean and tidy.
- Helping with rubbish removal and end-of-shift kitchen cleaning.
- Following food safety and hygiene procedures.
What we’re looking for:
- At least one year of experience as a kitchen hand or dishwasher in a commercial kitchen.
- Confidence with basic food preparation and protected knife handling.
- Reliability, punctuality and attention to cleanliness.
- The ability to work efficiently during a busy service.
- A practical attitude and willingness to help wherever needed.
- Availability for evening and weekend shifts.
- The right to work in Australia.
