Dogman – High-Rise Construction | Redcliffe

Project Duration: Ongoing, subject to project requirements

Pay Rate: $50–$60 per hour, commensurate with experience, plus superannuation. Applicable Saturday penalty rates and allowances will be paid in accordance with the relevant award or employment conditions.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Dogman to join our team on an 11-storey apartment construction project in Redcliffe.

This role is suited to someone with proven high-rise construction experience who understands the demands of working around tower cranes, coordinating lifting operations and maintaining a safe and effective construction site.

The successful applicant will work closely with the crane operator, site supervisors and other trades to ensure materials are lifted, moved and positioned safely throughout the project.

Key Responsibilities

- Direct crane operators during lifting operations using standard hand signals and radio communications.
- Safely sling, secure and guide loads during crane lifts.
- Coordinate the lifting and placement of construction materials across the multi-storey site.
- Inspect lifting gear and report damaged or unsuitable equipment.
- Establish and maintain exclusion zones around lifting operations.
- Follow approved lift plans, SWMS, site safety procedures and supervisor instructions.




- Communicate effectively with crane operators, supervisors and other site personnel.
- Identify lifting hazards and take appropriate action to maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist with general site duties when required.

Essential Requirements

- Current Dogman High Risk Work Licence (DG).
- Current White Card.
- Proven experience as a Dogman on high-rise construction projects.
- Experience working with Luffing tower cranes and lifting materials on multi-storey sites.
- Sound understanding of safe lifting practices and lifting equipment.
- Strong communication skills and commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a construction team.
- Availability to work Monday to Saturday, as required.
