HSS Recruitment is seeking experienced Komatsu 830E Dump Truck Operators to join a major Tailings Storage Facility (TSF) construction project in WA.
These opportunities offer $62.50 per hour on a 12-month-plus project, supporting material haulage, TSF embankment construction and lift raising in a large-scale mining environment.
Operators with relevant experience on other electric-drive haul trucks will also be considered, including Komatsu 730E, 860E and 930E, CAT 794 AC and 795F AC, and comparable electric-drive models.
About the Role
Working as part of the TSF construction team, your duties will include:
- Operating Komatsu 830E dump trucks to haul engineered materials
- Transporting and tipping material at designated locations in accordance with site instructions
- Supporting TSF embankment construction, lift raising and cut-to-fill operations
- Working closely with excavator, dozer and other haulage operators
- Following designated haul routes, speed limits and traffic management requirements
- Conducting pre-start inspections and reporting equipment defects
- Working within site safety procedures and TSF construction requirements
- Maintaining a strong focus on equipment care and production targets
What We're Looking For
To be considered, you will need:
- Proven Komatsu 830E experience or relevant experience operating other electric-drive haul trucks
- Demonstrated competence in electric-drive truck operation, including dynamic retarding and loaded haulage
- Operating experience in a mining, civil or bulk earthworks environment
- Construction Induction – White Card
- Ability to complete a pre-employment medical and mask fit test
- Strong safety focus and commitment to equipment care
- Positive communication skills and the ability to work within a team
- Availability to work a 2:1 day/night roster
- Current Australian working rights
Experience on TSFs, dams, bulk earthworks or large-scale civil construction projects will be highly regarded. Familiarity with engineered fill and QA/QC requirements will also be advantageous.
