YOUR ROLE

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer with solid expertise in EPLAN and industrial machinery to join a growing and dynamic engineering team, who focus on bespoke automation solutions for their clients. You will take ownership of electrical design deliverables across custom automation projects, whilst also supporting other electrical projects and reporting to the Electrical Engineering Manager. Working closely on Automation & Machinery Integration, this role will see you design electrical systems for automated machinery including motors, drives, sensors, and safety circuits, as well as working closely with automation engineers on PLC, robotics, and system integration, including supporting the integration of field devices, vision systems, and industrial networks:

Some of you key Responsibilities that will see you adding value to the team will be:

- Develop detailed electrical design schematics using EPLAN Electric P8
- Produce control panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and I/O schedules
- Generate accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and component specifications
- Ensure compliance with relevant Australian Standards and safety
- Project Coordination (Electrical Scope)
- Build & Commissioning Support
- Continuous Improvement

Along with a "can do" and "out of box" approach to innovative solutions and a dynamic attitude coupled with a collaborative mindset and a high attention to technical detail you will bring some of these skills to the role and the team:

- Proven experience in electrical design for industrial machinery or automation
- Strong proficiency in EPLAN Electric P8
- Solid understanding of control systems, safety circuits, and industrial environments
- Exposure to PLC systems - Allen-Bradley, Siemens HIGHLY REGARDED
- Experience working alongside automation or robotics engineers
- Familiarity with industrial communication networks - EtherNet/IP, Profinet,
