About the Role

We are seeking a qualified Electrician to join a major Sydney rail upgrade project focused on improving the reliability of passenger train systems.

You will be working on rolling stock, carrying out electrical upgrades and installations across critical train systems during scheduled maintenance periods.

This is an ongoing role with consistent hours and the opportunity to work on high-profile rail infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

You will be involved in:

- Installation and replacement of electrical systems on trains

- Working on communications, surveillance, and control systems

- Removal and installation of components such as Control units (DCU, CCU, SCU), Intercom systems and antennas, Cameras and associated wiring.

- Electrical upgrades to Train Operating Systems (TOS)

- Fault finding, testing,



and commissioning

- Ensuring all work meets required standards and specifications

- Maintaining clean and compliant cable installations

Work is performed in a maintenance environment at rail depots.

About You To be considered, you must have:

Valid Australian Electrical Licence

Solid electrical and wiring knowledge

Experience in fault finding and installations

Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings

Highly regarded:

Previous experience working on trains or rail projects

Experience with control systems, PLCs, or communications equipment

RIW Card (Rail Industry Worker)
